How we work
Editorial standards & AI policy
Useful style guidance depends on more than taste. It requires clear evidence, honest limits and respect for the reader.
Our editorial test
Every guide should answer five questions: What is the complete look? Why do the pieces work together? Where is it practical to wear? What is one easy swap? What details still need to be verified before purchase?
Evidence and product claims
- Retailer listing only: we may write “the listing describes” or “the retailer lists,” not present the information as our own test.
- Verified specifications: we identify the source and avoid extending a fact beyond what it proves.
- Firsthand test: we use “we tested” only when a real test occurred and describe its scope and date.
- Changing details: price, stock, sizing, materials, shipping and returns must be checked on the current listing.
We do not publish fake testimonials, ratings, review summaries, scarcity, universal fit statements or invented experience.
Selection and retailer neutrality
Outfit usefulness comes before commission. We consider coordination, comfort features visible or documented, rewear value, occasion and clarity of available information. No single retailer controls our categories, voice or visual identity.
Photography and illustrations
Exact product imagery requires an exact SKU or variant match and appropriate usage rights. General editorial photography is used only with appropriate rights and credited when required or useful. Original outfit-formula illustrations are clearly described as illustrations, not representations of linked products. We do not materially alter an item in a way that promises something a retailer does not sell.
AI-assisted work
Some Look Made Easy content may use AI-assisted tools for concept development, research organization, copy drafts, code, layouts or illustrative visuals. AI is not used to invent firsthand product experience, customer testimonials or verified product facts.
A human editor is responsible for the published page, including factual review, language, links, disclosure and visual credibility. Materially AI-generated people or outfits will be labeled: “AI-assisted concept image. For styling inspiration; product appearance and fit are illustrative.”
We reject synthetic visuals with distorted anatomy, impossible garment construction, random text, inconsistent bodies or misleading product details.
Respectful language
We never frame age or bodies as problems to fix. We avoid youth-chasing language, “hide flaws,” “problem areas,” anti-aging claims and universal promises. Alternatives are offered as choices for comfort, preference and context.
Commercial relationships
Affiliate and sponsored relationships are disclosed clearly. Compensation cannot purchase a favorable opinion. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be labeled in plain language.
Corrections and updates
We correct material errors promptly and add an update note when a change could affect a purchasing decision, product identity, disclosure or material claim. See our corrections policy.
